What to expect

Your initial assessment includes:

  • A muscle test

  • Checking your pulse

  • A tongue reading

  • Questionnaire

Please arrive 10 minutes before your first appointment. You will be asked to provide some information for the clinic's use in your treatment.

What to bring to your first treatment

  • BC CareCard

  • Claim number, if WorkSafeBC or ICBC

  • Doctor’s referral, if applicable

Direct Billing

Metta Acupuncture + Wellness Clinic is pleased to offer online direct billing for acupuncture for a number of extended health carriers.

The availability of this service is dependent on your carrier and/or plan. If online direct billing is not available, you will be asked to pay for your visit upfront and we will provide you will a receipt which you can submit to your extended health carrier for reimbursement.

ICBC acupuncture treatments

ICBC provides 12 pre-authorized acupuncture treatment sessions within the first 12 weeks, at no charge.

Please bring your:

  • Claim number

  • Date of Accident

Your first treatment will be 1 hour in length. Please mention this treatment is for ICBC when you are booking your first appointment.

WorkSafeBC acupuncture treatments

Please bring your:

  • Claim number

  • BC CareCard

(Check) If a claim is accepted, there is no user fee. WorkSafeBC provides 8 pre-authorized treatments in 8 weeks from the date of injury. Your first treatment will be 1 hour in length. Please mention this treatment is for WorkSafeBC when you are booking your first appointment.
