Body Acupuncture
Body acupuncture treatments can help relieve pain and treat various physical, mental and emotional conditions. Acupuncture is part of ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM practitioners believe the human body has more than 500 acupuncture points connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow (Qi, pronounced “chi“) through the body that is responsible for overall health. Disruption of energy flow can cause disease. By applying acupuncture to certain points, it is thought to improve the flow of Qi, thereby improving health.
Electro-Acupuncture
Electro-acupuncture is a modern form of acupuncture where a small electric current is passed between two needles, to regulate or modulate abnormal signals of the nervous system. Electro-acupuncture combines modern scientific physiology with the benefits of traditional acupuncture.
Acupressure & Tui na massage
Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves treating blocked energy, qi, by applying manual pressure to specific points on the body. It is similar to acupuncture, except that it uses fingertip pressure instead of needles.
Through improving energy flow, acupressure is said to help with a variety of conditions, ranging from headaches to motion sickness to muscle pain.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping is an alternative therapy that in originated in China. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, increasing blood flow where the cups are placed.
Many Taoists believe that cupping helps balance yin and yang, or the negative and positive within the body. Restoring balance between these two extremes is thought to help with the body’s resistance to pathogens as well as its ability to increase blood flow and reduce pain.
Shockwave
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment and works by delivering impulses of energy, targeted to specific damaged tissues within the abnormal tendon. This increases the blood flow within the affected area, stimulating cell regeneration and healing, and decreasing local factors which can cause pain.
DDS Bio-electronic massage
DDS Bio-electronic massage is a pain-free healing alternative based on traditional Chinese medicine, modern Western reflexology, massage and bio-electric technology. The DDS machine generates a low electrical current that stimulates and increases connections and flow through the body’s meridians.
The dds current activates the central nervous system, signaling the brain to release endorphins. Endorphins provide an analgesic effect to relieve pain naturally and sustainably while enhancing moods, relaxing the body and countering fatigue.
